Motorola XT502 (Greco?) with Android spotted
Motorola’s portfolio of Android smartphones is quickly growing, and we’ll surely see many new Android handsets coming from Moto this year. One of them will probably be the Motorola XT502.
Appeared over at the Bluetooth SIG, the Motorola XT502 is a touchscreen device with quad-band GSM connectivity, tri-band UMTS (850 / 1900 / 2100 MHz), WiFi 802.11b/g, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, and USB 2.0. There’s also a 3.5mm headset jack in there, and a photo camera on the back (with flash, maybe).
Not sure what version of Android the XT502 runs. By the looks of it, it’s certainly not Android 2.2 Froyo, so it could be Android 2.1.
The jpg file provided by the Blutooth SIG implies that the phone might be called Motorola Greco. Also, the model number (XT502) suggests the handset will be launched in China (like the Motorola XT701 and Motorola XT800). Different versions of it might make it to other markets, though, especially since the phone supports both European and North American 3G bands. We’ll bring more on this Motorola Greco XT502 as new details emerge.
