LG Town GT350 (Tribe Next) available in Europe this month
Announced in February as the successor of the LG KS360, the LG GT350 is now shipping to European markets (including the UK and Germany) with a new name: LG Town.
The launch of LG Town GT350 represents the debut of LG’s new Town Series, which will include phones focused on social networking services.
The Town GT350 itself comes with a special user interface (apparently based on the S-Class UI) “designed to make it easier than ever to enjoy real-time interaction with friends on popular social networks” like Facebook, Twitter or Orkut. The handset also features a 3 inch WQVGA (240 x 400) touchscreen display, full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi (to compensate for the lack of 3G), Bluetooth 2.1, FM radio, 2MP camera, and MicroSD card support.
The price of LG Town GT350 will be announced separately for each market. In Italy, for example, where the phone is called LG Tribe Next, it will cost €149 ($183). That’s a good price, so we’ll probably see lots of young users buying this Town.
