High quality Blackberry Bold 9800 slider pics, BB OS 6 video walkthrough pop up in China

Research in Motion was never too big on trying new form factors for their Blackberry devices.

Sure, RIM  might be playing with some pretty far out things on drawing boards in R&D labs, but when it comes to actual Blackberry devices, they are extremely conservative. Wide or traditional candybar form factor is the way to go.

But even RIM has to try something new sometimes. We’ve already had a clamshell Blackberry Flip. And, by now, every BB fan knows that a touchscreen Blackberry Bold 9800 slider is in the works.

Today, courtesy of Chinese BerryTimes.cn,  we can bring you more of the BB 9800 goodness. With the best quality pictures so far, and almost 17 minute video walkthrough of Blackberry OS 6 on Bold 9800:

Here are some more pics:

And here’s the video of Blackberry OS 6 (in Chinese):

And now, that we know almost everything about Blackberry Bold 9800 slider, we can eagerly wait for it’s official release.

Hmmm, little mundane, smartphones really need to be fresh again and try different things, not one phone on the market bar one or two impresses me so far. It has been little more than a 'mines bigger than yours' specs, which have in all essence eliminated any originality from which the market saw 10-15 years ago. They say the smartphone market is changing, I say it's utter and complete BS, the technology over the past 7 years has little changed, we've added few features such as wi-fi and maps/hd recording, but in fairness this is stuff that could have been available many years before.
RFID and Augmented reality are the additions which will change the game, but when they become mainstream and known to the masses (the entier world) will be another 15 years, we're still a primitive backward thinking species who are engulfed by greed and incredibly short sighted, those of us who want to progress are hindered by finances, red tape and political bickering which ruins things for everyone else. This is pretty evident in the smartphone market now with the bs patent trolling.
