Shadow becomes Motorola Droid XTreme. 8mpx camera and HD video recording confirmed

Motorola keeps generating headlines by churning out various interesting form factors of Android handsets. Like BackFlip or FlipOut

But there’s one a strange, and rather obvious hole in their Android smartphone portfolio. High end, full touchscreen slate. Yes, I know about Moto CLIQ/DEXT and Quench. But you can hardly call them high end.

Well, they do have one such phone, codenamed Shadow coming. Bits of info about the Motorola Shadow have been leaked, and leaked, and leaked again.

Today we get one more of those leaks, with a couple new pics, and some of the specs (8 Mpx camera and HD Video recording), confirmed.

The same source that got us these pictures, also confirmed the trade name of the  new device. Motorola Droid XTreme.

Which,  for me, probably is the best news bit in this latest leak. Now we can retire that stupid Droid “Shadow” thing.  Good riddance.

    How is Xtreme better than Shadow? I'm so tired of everything being xtreme. It's a phone for gods' sake, not a snowboard. At least spell the damn work correctly.

    Xtreme just sounds better. I just want to be able to remove my SD card w/o taking the battery out.

    You prefer XTreme? HAHA that's just LAME. Horrible, unoriginal name. “Shadow” is a badass name for a phone. If it really is now going to be called the Droid XTreme, then it looks like I'll be searching elsewhere for a new smartphone.

    Anyone who prefers the title “XTreme” is most definitely a n00b.
