Google Maps for Android updated to version 4.3, Google Voice now open to everyone (in the US)
Google Maps for Android has reached version 4.3, coming with new features and improvements that should make it better than ever.
The updated Google Maps for Android allows you to “see a snapshot of what people are saying about places right on search result pages.” Furthermore, public transit station pages now feature upcoming schedules for subways, trains and buses.
Google Latitude has also been enhanced with friends suggestion – you can easily add any suggested friend (from your Google Contacts) and share your location with them.
Google Maps 4.3 is available now in Android Market for all smartphones with Android 1.6 or newer. More details about the new features can be found here.
In other Google news, Google Voice is now open to everyone (only in the US, though), so there’s no need for an invite anymore. You can get Google Voice here (a Google account is required).
