HTC Wildfire gets first root, HTC Desire gets first taste of Froyo and 720p video recording
The recently released HTC Wildfire, their lowest-end Android handset and the HTC Tattoo‘s successor, can now be rooted.
Make sure you understand that you’re doing this at your own risk, you will void your warranty, and so on, then read through and follow these instructions exactly.

Next up, the HTC Desire gets its first Android 2.2 Froyo custom ROM (in beta). Alongside all the expected features in Android 2.2, you’ll be happy to find a working HTC Sense implementation, and the video recording resolution has been bumped all the way up to 720p (that’s 1280 x 720 for you and me).
