BlackBerry 9800 Slider may be a Rogers exclusive in Canada
Expected to be introduced in the US via AT&T, the unannounced BlackBerry 9800 (RIM’s first slider) will surely hit Canada, too.
Theoretically, all three major Canadian carriers can launch it, but MobileSyrup has it that the 9800 might be a Rogers excusive.
There’s still no word on the launch date or price of the slider, though no one should be surprised if the smartphone will hit the shelves in the next couple of months.
The BlackBerry 9800 will be one of RIM’s first devices to come with the new BlackBerry OS 6. Its features include a 360 x 480 touchscreen display, full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, 5MP camera, 4GB of on-board storage space, and MicroSD card support (for up to 16GB).
If Telus and Bell don’t get the 9800, they’ll probably try to snag the other new BlackBerry 6 smartphone – the 9670.
