Nokia Listings mobile app launched in India – it’s some sort of digital marketplace
Nokia Beta Labs has announced a new mobile application called Nokia Listings and available only in India for now.
The application’s purpose is to connect buyers and sellers, as well as employers and job seekers, via mobile phones – thus acting as a digital local marketplace.
It features three major categories of listings:
- Buy & Sell – allowing users to find or post items for sale
- Jobs – find or post a job
- Local Services – search for, or advertise for various services
Nokia Listings works even if you don’t have GPRS signal, because it can send info via SMS.
The app is optimized for “recent” Nokia S40 phones, but it’s compatible with all Nokia handsets that support Java. It also works with some non-touch S60 smartphones (E63, E71, E72), but “the experience may be sub-optimal.” You can download the application here.
