UK: Nokia C6 now available from Vodafone, red HTC Wildfire from Three
The Nokia C6 is now available in the UK from Vodafone. Not long ago, it started to be available from Nokia, and now it’s Big Red’s turn to sell this midrange side-sliding QWERTY packing touchscreen smartphone.
It’s free on new 24-month contracts starting at £20/month. You can order it here.
The C6 is unfortunately stuck with Symbian^1 and 128 MB of RAM, which means heavy multitasking isn’t that feasible. If you don’t mind having to always remember when to tap and when to double tap something, and don’t plan on using dozens of apps at the same time, this is a decent smartphone.
Elsewhere, Three have started selling the red HTC Wildfire. No differences whatsoever between this model and the black one aside from color, but if you fancy something to differentiate yourself from the sea of black-is-the-new-black smartphones everywhere, this might just be for you.
HTC’s budget Android offering is free on tariffs starting at £19/month, which apparently include a Spotify Premium subscription. You can order it here.
These are both very good deals for the novice smartphone user, or as second devices for a power user, so go grab them while stocks last.
