Swype beta for Symbian now available for download
Already available for some Android and Windows Mobile devices, Swype has been launched for Symbian touchscreen phones, too – although only in a beta version for now.
Swype’s virtual keyboard should allow users to input over 40 words per minute, thanks to its patented technology that lets you swipe through letters.
Swype beta for Symbian currently supports four languages: English (US), Canadian French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
A video walkthrough of the application can be seen below:
You can download Swype for Symbian via Nokia Beta Labs (free registration required). At the moment, the application is compatible with these Nokia S60 5th Edition (Sybmian^1) handsets: Nokia 5800, Nokia 5230, Nokia N97, Nokia N97 mini, and Nokia X6.
