Verizon Samsung Fascinate (Galaxy S) available online tomorrow, in shops Thursday – now official
Verizon has officially confirmed that the Samsung Fascinate would be available online starting tomorrow, September 8.
Verizon’s retail stores will also offer the Fascinate, but only starting September 9 (Thursday). As expected, the Fascinate costs $199.99 (with a 2-yr contract agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate).
Like all Galaxy S smartphones, Verizon’s Samsung Fascinate features a 4 inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, Wi-Fi, GPS, 5MP autofocus camera, and HD video recording.
The Fascinate will run Android 2.1 at launch, but an update to Froyo should be released later this year.
Verizon is the last giant US carriers to introduce a Galaxy S handset, after AT&T launched the Samsung Captivate, T-Mobile the Samsung Vibrant, and Sprint the Samsung Epic 4G.
