Nokia E7 hands-on preview, video at #NokiaWorld
Nokia may position N8 as their main Symbian S^3 flagship for late 2010/early 2011, but as far as I am concerned, the real Nokia smartphone flagship this year is Nokia E7.
The new Nokia Eseries (business) handset was officially announced today, and you can find official E7 specs and details here.
I had a possibility to play with Nokia E7 today, and I’m mightily impressed. Except for the camera, which is “only” 8mpx, Nokia E7 is in every way better then N8 for my taste. It’s got a whopper 4″ touchscreen display, full QWERTY keyboard, the same HDMI out and Dolby Surround TV playback stuff Nokia is so proud about on N8.
Here’s a short video of Nokia E7:
The only thing I did not like about E7 is 495 EUR price before taxes and subsidies. This will translate to an unlocked retail price of around 600 Euro throughout Europe. Which, after a much more affordable N8 price points seems a bit steep. But if you consider what you are getting for this price, might not be so bad after all.
And here’s a few live pics:
