AT&T goes Android crazy, intros Motorola Bravo, Flipside and Flipout. No love for Froyo though
Well, what do you know, AT&T didn’t kill off the Motorola Flipout after all. Even more, it has just announced two other Moto Android smartphones: the Motorola Bravo and the Motorola Flipside.
Before you get too excited, we need to tell you that all three devices will be launched with MotoBlur and Android 2.1 on-board – although updates to 2.2 Froyo will likely (hopefully) be available sometime later.
On sale starting October 17 at AT&T, the Motorola Flipout will cost $79.99 on contract, offering you a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen display, a 5-row QWERTY keyboard, 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3MP camera, and a 2GB card preloaded. You can find out more here.
Also known as Motorola MB520 Kobe / Diablo, the Moto Bravo will be available at AT&T “by this holiday period” for $129.99 on contract. The Bravo features a 3.7 inch FWVGA (854 x 480) multi-touch display, 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3MP camera, 800MHz TI OMAP 3610 processor, 2GB ROM, and a 2GB card preinstalled. More on the Bravo here.
Previously seen as Motorola Sage, the Moto Flipside will also be available “by this holiday period.” It will cost $99.99 on contract, coming with a 3.1 inch HVGA touchscreen display, 4-row QWERTY keyboard, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3MP camera, and a 2GB card preinstalled. More here.
With these three Moto phones, AT&T will have no less than seven Android handsets in its line-up this year (including, of course, the Samsung Captivate Galaxy S). Nice, right?
