Rugged, Android-powered Motorola Defy is now available in Germany
The rugged, IP67-certified Motorola Defy is one of Moto’s new Android devices for the European markets, alongside the Milestone 2.
And it’s now available in Germany from The Phone House starting at €1 on contract (depending on terms and operator) and for €350 SIM-free. Two colors are available: black and ‘white on black’.
Features of the Defy:
- Android 2.1 with Motoblur and Swype preinstalled
- 800 MHz processor
- 512 MB of RAM
- 3.7-inch WVGA (800×480) capacitive touchscreen with Gorilla Glass
- 2 GB of onboard storage
- 5 MP camera with LED flash
- HSPA, Wi-Fi (with DLNA), Bluetooth, GPS
A very good spec sheet that can certainly hold its own against the competition. And then considering the unique ruggedness of this handset (at least among similarly-specced Android smartphones), it will surely find a market niche for itself and do quite well, sales-wise.
