Samsung Galaxy Tab: €199 from Vodafone in Spain, €799 unlocked in Germany, no more Porn button
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab is in the news today, a lot.
It will be available in the coming weeks from Vodafone in Spain. The subsidized price for the Android-powered tablet will be €199. This requires an 18-month contract. You can pre-register your interest here.
In Germany, the Galaxy Tab was officially announced by Samsung’s local branch, and with this announcement came an interesting bit of information: pricing. The Galaxy Tab will have a recommended retail price of €799 in Germany, unlocked, unsubsidized and SIM-free. Despite what Samsung claim in the press release, availability hasn’t started yet (expect that to happen in the next few days or weeks).
And last in today’s Galaxy Tab news round-up, the infamous Porn button that was seen on Samsung’s tablet in Romania is now gone.
It looks like Samsung Romania took our advice and renamed it “Acasa” which means “Home” in Romanian. Certainly fits the icon above it a lot better.
