LG GT540 Optimus gets upgraded to Android 2.1
Owners of the LG Optimus GT540 are in for a nice surprise, as LG has released an update to Android 2.1 for this phone. It’s amazing that, with Android 2.2 having already been available for many months, manufacturers are still releasing updates to 2.1, but perhaps any update will do for those stuck on Android 1.x.
The Android 2.1 update for the LG GT540 Optimus brings all the goodies you’d expect:
- Multiple Accounts
- Quick Contacts Interface
- HTML5 Support in Browser
- Microsoft Exchange Support
- Live Wallpapers
- Bluetooth 2.1 Support
The update is not over the air, meaning you will need to connect your phone to a computer to do it. The files are available here, along with the necessary instructions. Happy updating!
