UK: LG Optimus One now on Orange, white BlackBerry Bold 9780 on Vodafone

Orange UK now sells the LG Optimus One. The unique twist here is that Orange’s Optimus One has support for UMA technology, that improves indoor coverage. Aside from that, the Optimus One that Orange has is the same device that has been launched internationally with many carriers.

A quick reminder of the specs: Android 2.2, 3.2-inch 480×320 touchscreen, 3 megapixel autofocus camera, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm headset jack, microSD card slot.

The LG Optimus One is free from Orange on contracts starting at £20 per month.

Meanwhile, Vodafone has started stocking the white BlackBerry Bold 9780. This phone is also free, but only if you sign up for a new two-year contract that has a value of at least £29.37 per month.

The BlackBerry Bold 9780 has a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, 256 MB internal memory, microSD card slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, GPS, and a 3.5 mm headset jack. And now you can get it in a new color.
