New picture of the Samsung Google Nexus S uncovered
Probably the most hotly anticipated smartphone of the holiday season is the Samsung-made Google Nexus S. We know some of its specs, it was confirmed by Best Buy, and Eric Schmidt, Google’s CEO, himself teased us all a bit by publicly showing it off.
There were even some hands-on pictures leaked a few days ago, and today we have another picture that showed up on a Google employee’s Picasa stream. The picture has in the mean time vanished from said stream, but Engadget grabbed it and let us take a peek.
I honestly hope this picture wasn’t taken with another Nexus S, because the quality seems to be close to what a VGA-cam equipped featurephone from 5 years ago would produce. Anyway, the angle of the picture does allow us to glimpse at the unique curved shape of the Nexus S – and while it’s impossible to tell if the display is curved, or to what extent, it’s clear that this phone has a shape that will make it stand out in the sea of full-touch slates out there.
If only Google would release it already… along with Android 2.3 Gingerbread!
