O2 UK now offers the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 for free with a £10 per month contract
It may not run the latest version of Android, it may not even run Android 2.1, but the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 still is a decent smartphone – if you don’t care about software being up-to-date and all that.
And, to be fair, it is going to receive an update to Android 2.1 by the end of this year. Even if it won’t ever get past that. But, still, for a first-time smartphone user, it may be a great choice.
To help ease your decision, O2 UK has decided to offer the X8 for free with a monthly contract as low as £10 per month. Of course, you’ll still need to sign a 2-year contract, but £10 is cheap. Really cheap.
The plan will only get you 50 minutes for calling each month, so it, like the Xperia X8, may be a perfect fit for those who don’t use their phones all that much. You know you know someone like that, so perhaps this is the ideal holiday present?
If you agree, head on over to O2 and seal the deal.
