Verizon announces the Motorola Droid 2 Global on Facebook, although it’s already available
The Motorola Droid 2 Global may not be a 100% new device, but the fact that Verizon still hasn’t put up a press release for this phone is odd. They have, however, decided to announce its existence on Facebook of all places.
The Motorola Droid 2 Global has already been available online from Verizon for a while, so why the first phone to have a 1.2 GHz processor inside hasn’t been deemed worthy of a press event/release yet is unclear.
Anyway, the Droid 2 Global is $199.99 (after a $100 mail-in rebate in form of a debit card) with a new 2-year contract and data plan.
That will get you all the Droid 2′s drool-worthy specs, plus the updated processor and, of course, global roaming capabilities – so you can use your Droid wherever you are in the world.
