Unlocked Dell Streak with Froyo launched in the US; new colors also available
Dell has just announced that it’s now directly selling unlocked Streak tablets (with Android 2.2 Froyo) in the US for $579 a piece.
The company has also announced the availability of new colors for the Streak: Cherry Red and Pure White (the latter’s already sold at Best Buy – only with an AT&T contract, though).
For some reason, the red and white Streaks still come with Android 1.6. However, Dell says Android 2.2 updates will be rolled out soon.
Note that $579 is the price of the 16GB Streak – the 32GB version costs an extra $99.
All in all, if you don’t want to wait for the Dell Opus One, you can go buy a Streak right now here at Dell.
