Verizon HTC Merge detailed in Entrepreneur Magazine, launch date still a mystery

November is now gone and Verizon Wireless has still not announced the HTC Merge – a new Android 2.2 Froyo QWERTY smartphone that we’ve seen lots of times until now.

So when will it announce it? We’ve no idea, but it should happen soon, especially since the Merge has just made an appearance in the Entrepreneur Magazine, where it’s presented as a “work phone that’s updated for your life.”

The presentation doesn’t mention LTE at all – so the Merge might actually not be Verizon’s first LTE handset, as previously rumored.

When finally launched, the HTC Merge should cost $199.99 on contract, coming with a WVGA display, global roaming capabilities,800MHz processor, 5MP camera, and HD video recording. Would you choose it over the Motorola Droid 2 Global?

without a doubt this device will trump the droid 2 global not only in feel and style but also in performance (i really the comparo is 800 mhz – 1.2 ghz) thanks to htc’s advanced processing chip. the keyboard is infintely more spacious and i am excited to finally own the htc merge.
