RIM buys The Astonishing Tribe, BlackBerry and PlayBook UIs should be enhanced soon
The latest to join RIM is TAT, aka The Astonishing Tribe, which was acquired by the Canadian smarthone and tablet maker for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Sweden (with offices also in San Francisco, Tokyo, Seoul and Taipei), TAT designs mobile User Interfaces. According to the company, it actually makes “the best performing, most astonishingly beautiful user interfaces for any screen and any device.”
RIM says it will bring TAT’s “talent to the BlackBerry PlayBook and smartphone platforms,” without providing exact details.

TAT Home for Android is not available for download, and since now RIM owns TAT, it will probably never be.
