BlackBerry Style and rugged Samsung Rugby II launched by Bell in Canada
Two new handsets are now available in Canada via Bell, and both are clamshells – although they’re very different.
The first one is the BlackBerry Style – RIM’s second flip smartphone, after the Pearl Flip.
The Style runs the latest BlackBerry OS 6 and features two displays, full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, and a 5MP camera. You can buy it online here for 49.95 with a new 3-yr agreement, or for $399.95 with no term.
Bell’s second new handset is the Samsung Rugby II, the carrier’s first rugged phone to feature HSPA+. The Rugby II is resistant to water, dust and humidity, and can be bought online – it costs 99.95 on contract, or $299.95 off.
It’s said that the Rugby II would also be released by Rogers sometime soon. The phone has been available in the US (via AT&T) since May.
