Sprint’s HTC Evo Shift 4G pops up at Walmart
Expected to be launched by Sprint later this week at CES 2011 (where else?), the HTC Evo Shift 4G has made an appearance at Walmart, which has lots of officially-looking photos of the smartphone, as well as a detailed list of specs.
According to Walmart’s website, the Evo Shift 4G runs Android 2.2 Froyo, not Gingerbread (as many have probably hoped). Also confirmed is the fact that the smartphone has an 8MP camera on the back.
The info regarding the Evo Shift’s display is confusing: it’s either a 3.7 inch, or a 4.3 inch one.
Needless to say, the HTC Evo Shift is one of Sprint’s WiMax handsets, and it features a sliding QWERTY keyboard. It should cost $149.99 with a new 2-yr contract agreement.
Other two new HTC devices that might be unveiled at CES in the next few days are Verizon’s Thunderbolt and the Scribe tablet (although I wouldn’t bet on the latter).
