RIM PlayBook with 4G (WiMax) announced for Sprint

Back in December we were telling you that Sprint might launch a 4G / WiMax version of RIM’s BlackBerry Playbook – and it turns out we were right.

RIM has just announced that a 4G PlayBook would be available via Sprint “in the summer.”

Running the new BlackBerry Tablet OS, the PlayBook features a 7 inch display with 1024 x 600 pixels, 1GHz dual-core CPU, Wi-Fi, Adobe Flash Player 10.1, 5MP photo camera with HD video recording, 3MP front-facing camera for video-calling, and 8GB / 16GB / 32GB of internal memory.

RIM didn’t unveil the price of Sprint’s 4G PlayBook. You can sing-up for more info on the upcoming tablet here at Sprint’s website.
