Rugged Motorola i886 Android smartphone with two keyboards now available at Sprint
The Motorola i886 is the first iDEN phone to have two keyboards – one is a ‘normal’ T9 numpad, and there’s also a side-sliding physical QWERTY keyboard. This phone is also rugged, and runs Android.
We’ve first seen the i886 all the way back in September when it passed through the FCC, and after months and months, it’s finally available to purchase from Sprint.
The Motorola i886 meets military 810G requirements for resistance to dust, shock, vibration, low and high temperature extremes, low pressure and solar radiation.
The i886 has a 2.2-inch QVGA (240×320) display, a 2-megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, and 1380 mAh battery. Its dimensions are 116.3×51.1×18.5 mm and it weighs 141.2 grams.
You can get one from Sprint for $79.99 (after a $50 mail-in rebate), if you opt to sign a new two-year contract. However, if you are planning to sign up brand new service with Sprint, you can find it for free on LetsTalk.com (after clicking the link, just type “Motorola i886″ into the search bar to find it).
