LG Optimus 2X will be free at Vodafone UK (on contract)
Vodafone will be among the first UK carriers to offer the LG Optimus 2X on contract.
We’ve already seen the new smartphone on pre-order at Expansys UK, which initially offered it only SIM-free (for £499).
Now the retailer also lets customers choose a Vodafone data plan with the Optimus 2X. The handset is free on plans starting at £30.65 per month – if you pre-order now, you should receive the Optimus 2X on March 21 (not in February, as previously thought). You can check out the offer online here.
LG Optimus 2X is the first Android smartphone based on Nvidia’s Tegra 2 dual-core chip. It runs Android 2.2 (upgradeable to Android 2.3) and features a 4 inch WVGA display, Wi-Fi, GPS, HDMI port, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 8MP rear camera, 1080p video recording, 8GB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support (up to 32GB).
