Live images of the upcoming BlackBerry Curve leak
About a week ago we saw the first leak of the upcoming BlackBerry Curve. Along with details about its specifications came an image that was of the ‘officially rendered’ type.
But in the mean time live images of the new Curve have leaked at N4BB, and they say that the codename for this model isn’t Apollo, as previously thought, but Sedona. Apparently Apollo was the codename for a Curve that never got released.
The Sedona hasn’t been assigned a model number yet, and internal documents refer to it as R010. It is a very slim device, and has 512 MB of RAM onboard. The operating system powering it is BlackBerry 6.1, the upcoming minor revision of RIM’s mobile OS. BlackBerry OS 6.1 has a notification system similar to that in Android. The Sedona is certainly higher end than previous Curve models, so it remains to be seen whether it will replace the current Curve, or be sold alongside it.
The Sedona will have a 480×360 screen, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, a 5-megapixel camera and an 800 MHz processor.
