Motorola Defy coming to India on January 24?
The rugged, water-resistant Motorola Defy – already launched in the US (via T-Mobile), Europe, and Australia – could be released in India next week.
A tipster informed AndroidOS.in that Motorola dealers across India would start selling the Defy next Monday, on January 24. The handset’s exact price is not known yet, but it’s said to be around 20,000 INR ($438).
The Defy is currently running Android 2.1. However, Motorola has officially promised an upgrade to Android 2.2 Froyo for the second quarter of the year.
Hopefully, there will be no faulty Defy units sold in India. Anyway, in order to better decide if the smartphone is for you, check out our Motorola Defy review here.
