LG Optimus One arriving at Virgin Mobile USA as Optimus V
Already available via most major US mobile carriers, the LG Optimus One will be launched by Virgin Mobile, too.
According to Android Central, Virgin’s Optimus One is called LG Optimus V – which does make sense, considering the fact that the smartphone is called Optimus S at Sprint, Optimus T at T-Mobile, Optimus M at MetroPCS, and Optimus U at US Cellular.
Reportedly, the Optimus V will cost $149.99 on a $25 plan, contract-free. The handset will come with Android 2.2 Froyo, a 3.2 inch HVGA touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.2MP autofocus camera, and a 600MHz processor.
The exact launch date of Virgin Mobile’s Optimus V is not known at the moment.
The Optimus One should be released by LG via AT&T as well – the second largest US carrier might name the handset Optimus A (but that’s just my guess).
