Nokia N8, C7 and C6-01 Symbian smartphones get a software update
Nokia’s newest Symbian smartphones (the N8, C7 and C6-01) have just received a software update, seemingly called Symbian 1.1.
Among the things included in the update, Nokia mentions “numerous tweaks and fixes”, and Ovi Maps integration in email.
N8 owners get a special treatment, with an update pushed only to their smartphone, which brings enhanced Quick Office 6.4 for letting you edit and zoom in & out in Word documents.
As you may already know, not long ago Nokia has decided to call its main OS simply Symbian, not Symbian^3, Symbian^4 and so on. That’s why the update released today is referred to as Symbian 1.1. The update will be available through Nokia Software Update, or via Ovi Suite.
Now, Nokia, since you’ve improved the user experience on the N8, C7 and C6-01, how about seriously improving it (because the updates mentioned above are definitely not mind-blowing)? And how about launching that E7?
