Samsung Galaxy S2 coming with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus display?

We already know quite a few things about the new Samsung Galaxy S2 (which will be officially unveiled at MWC 2011 later this month), including the fact that it has a Super AMOLED Plus display, and a dual-core processor.

Now, Tweakers.net reports that an “industry source” has confirmed the size of the Galaxy S2’s display: 4.5 inches.

Apparently, it’s been also confirmed that the new Galaxy would run Android 2.3 Gingerbread (no surprise here).

The Galaxy S2 might look similar to AT&T’s Samsung Infuse 4G (which also has a 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus screen). We’ll see how striking – or maybe not that striking – the resemblance between the two phones is at MWC soon.

    I can’t wait for it to be released. Currently I have the “My Touch 4G” which is a awesome phone and really fast, but I love the taste of gingerbread and a huge, not to mention brilliant crystal clear screen. I will definately be pre-ordering it. I just hope that Samsung & T-mobile’s reputation on upgrades doesn’t proceed itself. ( My Touch 4G )

    Froyos been out since November John, the Galaxy S is well supported, my Galaxy S currently has 2.2.1.

    But some US variants are not, which to be honest is not a big supprise.

    no man . not 4.5 . its too big . 4 4.3 is more than enough and yes it looks very similar to infuse 4g but plz samsung dont give the same specs in the phone .
