HTC Android phone with dedicated Facebook button coming at MWC?
While HTC may not make a Facebook-branded smartphone anytime soon, it looks like the company is getting ready to unveil a handset that comes with a dedicated Facebook button – you know, for giving you immediate access to your (most probably) favorite social networking service.
Financial Times is reporting (registration required to read the article) that this alleged HTC handset runs Android, and should be announced at MWC 2011 next week – where the Taiwanese company might also showcase its very first Android tablet. We’ll be there to see what exactly happens.
(in case you’re wondering, this is just the HTC Desire HD)
Earlier today, INQ announced two new Android smartphones with deep Facebook integration (they have no Facebook buttons, though). I assume HTC’s Facebook phone will have high-end features – unlike INQ’s devices – so it should cost more. But let’s not speculate and wait for an official announcement (assuming it will come).
