Samsung Star II headed to Orange UK as Samsung Tocco Icon
Announced last month as the successor of the popular Star S5230, the Samsung Star II S5260 will be available in the UK soon, where Orange is getting ready to offer it to its customers.
The handset won’t be called Star II, though, but Samsung Tocco Icon – which does make sense, since the first Star is called Samsung Tocco Lite in the UK.
The Star II / Tocco Icon is an affordable 2G touchscreen phone with a 3 inch WQVGA display, TouchWiz UI, social networking integration, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm headset jack, HTML browser, 3.15 MP camera, and MicroSD card support.
Apparently, the Tocco Icon will be available at Orange UK only to PAYG users. The phone’s price is not known at the moment. You can check out the handset here at Orange’s website.
Another new device that’s coming to Orange UK soon is the LG Pecan. Unlike the Samsung Tocco Icon, which is a featurephone, this is a smartphone that runs Android 2.2.
