Verizon Palm Pre 2 pre-orders have started, it costs $99.99 and will ship on February 17
HP has started taking pre-orders for the Verizon Palm Pre 2. Contrary to what we found out yesterday, the phone will only start shipping on February 17 (a week from now), in line with previous rumors.
We also know the price now. It will be $99.99 if you sign a new two-year contract. Getting the smartphone sans contract will cost you $439.99. You can ‘reserve’ (that’s the term HP likes to describe pre-orders with) yours right now from HP.
What’s more, you’ll be able to use the Wi-Fi hotspot functionality built into the phone’s software absolutely free with your data plan. No special monthly fee here just for using the hotspot. This is a neat offer, and one that’s unique to this device.
