The Samsung Galaxy S 4G is coming to T-Mobile next week, and will become the carrier’s fastest HSPA+ phone. We received confirmation from T-Mobile’s official Twitter account, stating that it will be available next Wednesday for an introductory price of $149.99. They say it’s a limited time deal, so we’re not sure how long it will stay that price.
This particular handset will be capable of getting speeds up to 21 Mbps, compared to the previous T-Mobile 4G devices that can only achieve 14.4 Mbps. In terms of what the phone itself can do, picture a 4G version of the Samsung Vibrant with a frontward-facing camera. That’s really all it is.
In addition, where the Vibrant came with Avatar pre-loaded, the Galaxy S 4G (why didn’t they just call it the Vibrant 4G?) will have Inception pre-loaded.
The question is, now that the Galaxy S 2 has been announced and several other devices with dual-core processors and nicer specs are on their way in the upcoming months, are you still pining to get the Galaxy S 4G? Does it have enough to make it worth getting now?
Either way, we will never complain about progress being made in the mobile world, and this is definitely some huge progress for T-Mobile and 4G in general.
