Samsung Galaxy S II to cost €548, ship in May (in Switzerland)
Until now, Samsung said nothing regarding the price of its brand new Galaxy S II.
Anyway, since the smartphone is one of the best you’ll find this year, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Swiss retailer Digitec says the 16GB version costs 699 CHF – about €548 or $755.
The same retailer suggests that the Galaxy S II will be available in late May. Of course, we’re talking about Switzerland here, so the handset could (and probably will) be released earlier in other markets.
Running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the Galaxy S II is Samsung’s flagship smartphone in 2011. It features a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus WVGA Gorilla Glass display, TouchWiz 4.0, NFC support, 1GB of RAM, 1GHz dual-core processor, 8MP photo camera with 1080p video recording, and 2MP front-facing camera.
