HTC Merge Does Exist, Coming to Multiple Carriers This Spring
We were starting to believe the HTC Merge was some mythical unicorn that only existed in our minds, or perhaps some conspiracy created by tipsters and “sources” to see how gullible news outlets are. But though later to the party than we originally had heard, the HTC Merge is now official, validated by a press release put out by HTC.
While we were originally expecting a release sometime this winter on Verizon, but as the anticipated time and date passed, we lost a lot of hopes that it was actually coming. But the Merge, a Android Froyo-powered QWERTY smartphone with a 3.8″ touch screen and 5 MP camera with 720p HD video capture, is on its way to multiple carriers in North America this Spring.
No additional pricing or launch dates are available as of now, but we’ll let you know as soon as we hear!
