Sony Ericsson Xperia Play launching in India in late April?
It’s no secret that Sony Ericsson wants to release the new Sony Ericsson Xperia Play in every major mobile market. And since we can’t talk about major markets without mentioning India, here’s what we know regarding the launch of the Xperia Play there:
According to AndroidOS, the world’s first PlayStation-certified smartphone may be available to Indian customers starting late April – not long after the Xperia Arc.
The handset’s price is expected to be around 34,000 INR ($755) – meaning 4000 INR more than what you’ll have to pay for the Arc.
Like all the other new Xperia handsets, the Xperia Play runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It features a PSP styled gamepad, a 4 inch FWVGA multi-touch display, access to PlayStation games (via Sony PlayStation Suite), Adreno GPU, and a 5Mp autofocus camera.
