Sprint Set to Unveil Nexus S 4G, EVO Tablet and EVO 3D at CTIA
CTIA Orlando is just 2 weeks away and we’re starting to hear all the rumors about what we can expect to see at the show. Sprint’s already scheduled in a press conference — a very long press conference that lasts 2.5 hours — and we’re anxious to learn exactly why we need to reserve such a long and valuable period of show time for this one particular carrier. Turns out we are not going to be disappointed, if Engadget has anything to say about it.
According to the tipster, there will be a WiMax-powered Nexus S 4G, and not one but two EVO products to show off at the press event: the EVO View tablet and EVO 3D.
There is only one piece of evidence to back up the claims of the Nexus S, which is a page that Sprint has put up (though there is nothing on it right now), and there is no evidence concerning either EVO. But it makes sense though. After all, 2011 has barely begun and already we can tell this year is the year of tablets and 3D devices. We have a feeling that the EVO View will be a Sprint CDMA version of the HTC Flyer that was announced at MWC last month; the EVO 3D could very well be just a yearly refresh of the original EVO with revamped features (3D and dual-core, perhaps?). After a full year of having its sweet time in the sun, the original EVO has certainly done a good job holding up the high end of the Sprint Android lineup and it’s about time to refresh it.

As for the Nexus S 4G, a version that uses any kind of 4G is a welcome addition to Sprint’s Android lineup. From what it seems, after CTIA the Sprint lineup could become more top-heavy than last year when the EVO 4G was one of very few high-end Android phones on the network.
We can’t wait!
