Nokia X1-00 music phone announced, costs just €34

The Nokia X1-00 that passes the FCC back in January has just been officially announced. As expected, this is a really cheap music phone – it will be launched in April for €34 ($47) before taxes and subsidies.

Mainly targeted at emerging markets (like India and China), the Nokia X1-00 comes with a “massive speaker on the back, rated at 106 phon.” Nokia tweaked the speaker’s frequency response “so that the sound remains undistorted at higher volumes, unlike most mobile phones.”

Other features: Series 30 UI, music player, dedicated music keys, 3.5mm headset jack, FM radio, built-in flashlight, GSM/ EDGE connectivity, and MicroSD card support (up to 16GB). the phone’s 1320 mAh battery is capable of providing a stand-by time of up to 61 days, which is quite remarkable.

The X1-00 will be available in three color versions: Orange, Ocean blue, and Dark grey.
