Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 4G announced by Telus, will be “Canada’s first 4G smartphone”

Not long after being released by T-Mobile in the US, the Samsung Galaxy S 4G has been announced in Canada, too. Telus will offer the smartphone there, under the name of Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 4G.

Reportedly, the Fascinate 4G will be Canada’s first 4G smartphone. However, Telus has not announced its launch date yet. It could do it later this week, though.

Just like T-Mobile’s new 4G smartphone, Telus’ version supports data transfer speeds of up to 21Mbps, features a front-facing camera, and runs Android 2.2 (upgradeable to 2.3 Gingerbread).

Telus didn’t say how much the Galaxy S Fascinate 4G would cost. It’s worth mentioning that the older Galaxy S Fascinate 3G+ currently costs $49.99 with a new 3-yr contract agreement.
