T-Mobile G-Slate Priced at $529.99 With Contract
So we were really, really hoping that the Motorola Xoom’s pricing scheme would be the exception for Honeycomb tablets rather than the rule. As we hear more information about T-Mobile’s answer, the G-Slate, we’re starting to realize that this may well be a standard for Honeycomb. T-Mobile dropped a few more pieces of information about the G-Slate, the most important piece was the pricing.
The G-Slate will be priced at $529.99 with 2-year agreement, and that’s after a $100 mail-in rebate. This is still technically better than the Xoom under contract at $599.99, but it all depends on what happens to your rebate and if you get it back.
T-Mobile also stated that the G-Slate should be available this Spring; we have heard rumors that would put the specific date as April 20.
We hope to play with the G-Slate at CTIA 2011 this week, with the rest of the gadgets we’re beginning to hear coming down the pipeline, so keep dropping by to see our latest updates from the show floor!
