UK: Huawei Ideos can now be yours for only £139.99 SIM-free
By Vlad Bobleanta on 28 Mar 11The Huawei Ideos, the original one, not the more recently-unveiled X5 or X6, is now on sale at UK online retailer Play.com. This Android 2.2 smartphone can now be yours if you decide to part with only £139.99 of your hard earned cash.
The Ideos is quite a capable device for the price, but it’s definitely not high-end by any stretch of the imagination. Still, it may make a very good introductory smartphone – getting someone new to the smartphone concept acquainted with it before perhaps moving on to a more powerful handset.
The Ideos has a 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen with a QVGA (240×320) resolution, a 528 MHz processor, a 3.2 MP autofocus camera with no flash, HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth, and GPS. Won’t win any benchmark competitions, that’s for sure, but who knows, it may get someone hooked to Android.
