HTC Desire S coming to Vodafone UK on April 8. Pre-orders available now
Vodafone UK now lets customers pre-order the Desire S, HTC’s new Android 2.3 Gingerbread flagship smartphone (of which we already knew it was coming to Vodafone).
The carrier offers the new Desire only on contract, and you can get it for free on plans starting at £30 per month (24-month contract required).
The Desire S comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 3.7 inch S-LCD WVGA display, Sense UI, HSPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities, GPS, 5MP autofocus camera, 720p video recording, VGA front-facing camera, 768MB of RAM, and a 1GHz Scorpion processor. You can pre-order the handset here at Vodafone – it should be shipped starting April 8.
Two other new HTC Android phones that are headed to Vodafone UK are the HTC Wildfire S, and the Facebook-centric HTC ChaCha.
