HTC Merge could be launched by Verizon soon
It’s been quite a while since we first saw a Verizon-branded HTC Merge. Since then, the Merge has been announced by Alltel and Cellular South, but there’s still no official word from Verizon regarding it.
However, it looks like he largest US carrier might launch the Merge after all, since a VZ Navigator app for the smartphone has just appeared in Android Market.
Assuming the Droid Incredible 2 won’t be released before it, the HTC Merge could become Verizon’s third HTC Android smartphone (after the original Droid Incredible, and the HTC Thunderbolt). Of course, we can’t be sure of anything until we have some official details.
The HTC Merge runs Android 2.2 Froyo and features a sliding QWERTY keyboard, 3.7 inch WVGA multi-touch display, Sense UI, Wi-Fi, GPS, 800MHz processor, 5MP camera, and 720p video recording.
