HTC Desire II, Wildfire S, and 7 Pro headed to Cellular South
No less than three new HTC smartphones are headed to Cellular South sometime in the near future. Thanks to a leaked roadmap we now know that the carrier plans to stock the HTC Wildfire S, the HTC 7 Pro, as well as a mysteriously named HTC Desire II.
The Desire II may just be the Desire S, or a special version of that handset. But then why not be consistent in branding and rebrand the Wildfire S as well? So the Desire II could potentially, though probably quite unlikely, be a new smartphone altogether, one we’ve heard nothing about just yet. Don’t get your hopes up though.
It’s good to see the midrange Wildfire S make it to the US, and perhaps at some point it will get picked up by other carriers as well. As for the 7 Pro, it’s interesting that it will hit Cellular South bearing that name, after it was just finally released by Sprint under the name HTC Arrive.
Like many other smaller and/or regional carriers, Cellular South has been hard at work expanding its smartphone lineup over the past few months, and that can only be a good thing for its customers. So if you are, or want to become, a Cellular South customer, remember that three new and exciting smartphones are on their way to the carrier.
