Asus Eee Pad Transformer now available in the UK for £379.99
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer is not your average, run-of-the-mill Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet. In fact, it claims to be half-tablet, half-netbook, and with its keyboard dock can fool anyone into thinking it was a netbook, that’s for sure. It’s interesting to see manufacturers try to differentiate their offerings in this space. First there was HTC’s Flyer with its stylus, and now Asus’ Eee Pad Transformer – which has become available in the UK.
The price is still the one we heard about in March, namely £379.99. That’s without the keyboard dock, which is sold separately and isn’t in stock yet.
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer has a 10.1-inch 1280×800 capacitive touchscreen, a 1 GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 16 GB of internal storage, a 5 MP rear camera and a 1.2 MP front-facing camera for video calls, Wi-Fi, and comes with a mini HDMI port. If you’re interested, you can get yours in the UK from Comet. You’ll even get it shipped for free.
