Motorola Atrix launch date announced by Orange UK: early May
Already available in the US (via AT&T) and Canada (via Bell), the Motorola Atrix will also hit the UK soon.
Orange UK (of which we knew it would offer the smartphone) has announced hat the Atrix should be exclusively available to its customers starting early May.
Orange’s Atrix will be free on contract, on plans starting at £35 per month (600 minutes, 750 MB data allowance, unlimited Wi-Fi, unlimited texts, and 50 MMS included). You can reserve the handset here at the carrier’s official website.
Orange will also offer Atrix accessories (the Motorola HD Multimedia Dock and the Motorola Lapdock) at discounted prices.
Running Android 2.2, the Motorola Atrix is one of the world’s fastest smartphones, as it features a dual-core 1GHz processor, and 1GB of RAM. Orange UK previewed the handset in the video embedded below:
May is also when the Samsung Galaxy S II and the HTC Sensation are going to be released in the UK – two newer Android smartphones that will directly compete with Moto’s Atrix.
